A child’s eyes

Here is true worship- delighting in our Creator who formed all that is around us and saved us to enjoy Him through it. Here we look deeply into Kilby’s resolutions:

I shall sometimes look back at the freshness of vision I had in childhood and try, at least for a little while, to be, in the words of Lewis Carrol, the “child of the pure unclouded brow, and dreaming eyes of wonder.”

Oh to be  a child again! Oh to have a constant wonder at the way things are accepting them as God made them!

Why is the grass green? Because God made it that way. Why is the ocean blue? It reflects the sky. Why is the sky blue? That’s the color that it becomes when the light it filtered through the atmosphere. Why do we have the atmosphere? Because God, in His infinite wisdom, made it that way to sustain us! What does sustain mean?!

And on and on it goes! We lose this wonder as we go on~ we become far too accustomed to, “This is the way it is! This is the way it always will be! Just accept it!” No. God gave us a mind that wishes to search Him and know Him! So we must search His Word well to learn His purposes.

We have no other purpose than to joyfully glorify Christ by searching Him through His Word. God give us that desire!
